THE WORLD ORGANIZATION OF CITIES AND LOGISTICS PLATFORMS is formally constituted before the Mexican Law (as Civil Association / Non-Governmental Organization), but with a global focus, with the main objective of analyzing the environment for the economic development of the cities and logistics platforms of the world, revealing the flow of logistics and strategic routes in international trade and hemispheric and regional trade integration processes, to adopt common positions and actions that are necessary for the benefit of its members, ensuring the development and interests of these, be they cities, logistics platforms, logistics operators, among others.
The World Economic Forum and the World Bank agree that if all countries improve their logistic performance, develop more infrastructure related to transport services, and reduce their barriers in supply chains even at half the observed level of the best country In this matter, which is Singapore, the world GDP could increase up to 4.6%, six times more than if they eliminated all their tariff rates.
